Eggshells

Defend your garden from pests

Bugs, we all deal with them differently, but eggshells can really come in handy, plus they are essentially free and are not a chemical cocktail. Roughly crush up the eggshells and sprinkle itaround your plants. Bugs that crawlwill be cut by the rough, sharp edges or go elsewhere as they see the beds are booby-trapped!

Give your garden a boost

Loaded with calcium and silica eggshells are an awesome way to give your garden that extra boost. You can whenever you have some shells on hand either crush or blend them and sprinkle it around the base of your plants, trees and veggies. Or if you are planting new things in your garden sprinkle some of the eggshell powder into thehole before you put the plant in.

Natural Body Scrub

If youre game enough, blend up some eggshells into a fine powder and add some coconut oil to it. There you have it, your own natural body scrub.

Egg cartons can also be reused for things like:
  • Paint cups
  • Growing seedlings in
  • Kindling
  • Organiser/Storage compartments
  • Cheap craft material
