Carnivore Burger

 

Maybe this beef and cheese burger is a bit far away from the traditional carnivore diet of the Inuit — the culture which inspired the popular carnivore diet — but it's delicious, unique and high-fat.

1. To make the cheese-based bun, preheat the oven to 175°c. Grease a 6-cup muffin pan. In a large mixing bowl, combine cheese and eggs and ensure cheese is completely coated. Divide the batter and fill each muffin space evenly. Bake for 20 minutes, until tops are golden brown. If the muffins stick, run a knife around the edges to loosen it.

2. Cook bacon strips on a frypan to your preferred doneness. Leave bacon grease in pan and cook patties. Get out a muffin, lay bacon and patty on top, then another egg/cheese muffin. Enjoy!

3. Alternatively, cook two pieces of haloumi to use as buns instead!
